Why Choose The Academy
We are the only tuition free private school located in Roanoke! We are located in SE Roanoke City but The Academy serves working families and their elementary aged students throughout the Roanoke Valley. We have classrooms for grades Kindergarten through 5th grade and we are growing!
Every student enrolled in The Academy receives a free private education, childcare before and after school, frequent field trips and three cooked onsite nutritious meals each day. We offers students a strong academic curriculum with a life skills emphasis that follows the Virginia Standards of Learning but focus on hands on learning that is engaging and fun!
To support our parents, The Academy provides Family Coaching that connects parents to valuable local resources including personal finance classes and vocational training opportunities to support each family as they work to achieve their personal goals. We also offer parents onsite childcare and a summer program that provides a safe environment that encourages learning and keeps them engaged when school is not in session.
We believe that in order for children to be successful, their parents must be invested in their lives and engaged in their education so we have created a safe and nurturing environment for students and families to work and grow!
